Coming from a lifelong dance background, Lucy has always had an interest in movement and the intricacies of the human body. So, when first introduced to yoga many years ago, it felt natural for her to connect with yoga on a physical level. Her greatest inspiration arose from the discovery of such a beautiful way to cultivate a sense of peace and calm deep within.
Recognising how exhausted she was after years of intense dance training, Lucy was captivated by yoga and the freedom she felt through the union of mind, breath and body. Developing a regular practice, it wasn’t long before the lines between life and yoga began to blur and her yearning for growth led Lucy to take her studies deeper, completing Qi’s 420hr Teacher Training Diploma.
With a natural affinity for teaching, the positivity and balance yoga continually brings to her life is what inspires Lucy to continue on this path of sharing all she’s learned with others. Influenced by her teachers, peers, students and a life full of creative pursuits, Lucy’s classes are a playful weaving of ancient methodologies, philosophies and traditions with functional anatomy and mindful movement to access both the physical and energetic systems of the body. She encourages freedom through self-expression and lighthearted fun, creating a safe and supportive space for her students to cultivate a deeper self-awareness and embrace an open-ended exploration of their inner and outer worlds.
Through sincere guidance and a joy for working with people, Lucy aims to empower others to live in greater harmony with themselves and their environment by equipping them with the tools and the knowledge that can be applied both on and off the mat. She sees her classes as being a continual process of humble exchange between student and teacher and feels privileged to witness transformations as people discover that yoga not only improves your physical wellbeing but also enables you to harness mental clarity, emotional vitality, intellectual insight, and spiritual bliss.
